Craig has over 25 years of professional finance experience focused on entrepreneurial and mid-market companies over a broad range of industries. He has an established track record serving as the senior financial executive in fast growing companies, turnaround situations, and ownership transitions. Craig's typical approach is to work closely with ownership and the executive management team to establish clear plans for improvement in the overall performance of the businesses he consults with. Craig extends the value of the services he provides through leveraging an extensive network of Colorado and regional contacts in the banking, financing, accounting and legal professions.
Craig was most recently a Partner in a National professional services firm specializing in CFO consulting to emerging and middle-market companies during the last six years. The bulk of his project assignments were in Colorado and the intermountain West.
Craig formerly served as Vice President Finance and Corporate Secretary of Dynamic Materials Corp. (NASDAQ), a technology manufacturing company for over fifteen years. As the CFO, he was instrumental in raising early stage and secondary rounds of capital for business growth. He developed and implemented financial strategies to support rapid business growth, prepared short and long-range business forecasts and business plans and aligned management performance measurements with business strategies. Craig was responsible for all ’34 Act SEC filings and maintained investor relations. He also headed a due diligence review resulting in a significant reduction in the purchase price of a key acquisition.
Craig served as the Chief Financial Officer, and later Chief Executive Officer of Event Promotion Supply, Inc., a privately-held industry leader in the field of large format graphic printing. Craig was responsible for strategy development, management team selection and leadership, planning for growth, executing the capital spending plan, restructuring the marketing effort and coordinating the objectives of major shareholders. This business was sold in a synergistic business combination to a foreign competitor in late 2001. Both the value of the business and its strategic attractiveness were enhanced by the implementation of new printing technologies implemented during Craig tenure.
Craig began his finance career in public accounting with the Denver office of PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP. Craig is a CPA in Colorado as well as being a Certified Management Accountant. Craig is on the faculty of the Colorado campus of the University of Phoenix.
Craig holds an MBA degree, with concentration in Finance, from the University of Colorado, and a BS degree in Accounting from the University of Utah. Craig is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants.
