As Coloradans we like the outdoors, pretty snow-capped mountains, thunderstorms on the rolling plains, and hikes in the Flat Irons. We sadly note the loss of pine trees to the mountain pine beetle. Even the most industrious of us elects to live and work in Colorado as opposed to another state largely because of the environment it affords.
Colorado is moving towards more sustainable energy usage, initially through research, but ultimately through production and application. We should all be aware of how these new technologies can be used profitably in our businesses.
“Environmentalism” can and has been a torch propped up by some fairly radical arms, and accordingly besmirched by others for that very reason. To us it basically means developing and using technologies that economically allow us to consume natural resources efficiently and wisely.
We’re not sure what our carbon footprint is, but we get that the game’s played like golf. Having the most points doesn’t make us winners.
